How To Film Your Swing

Filming your swing is very simple and easy. On the website, we provide links under our “Training Aids” tab, that will assist you in the filming of your golf swing. Our options include a tripod, an accessory that would attach to your alignment sticks, or a clip-on attachment for your golf bag. I have also used my own golf bag and a towel to hold my phone still to take videos.

If you have a range that is flat or would require you to take your videos on a hard surface, then I would suggest using the tripod stand. If you can put your alignment stick into the ground, or you have a sloping surface, then I would recommend using the alignment stick accessory or the clip-on attachment.

We also provide a video in the “Instructional Video’s” tab, that walks you through how to position your camera to get the best angles to assess or share your swing. For anyone who is serious about learning the golf swing, this short video is a must watch.

Lastly, all players who take online lesson’s through The Straight Approach will be using the OnForm App. When searching to download this app, look for a with a black box, a yellow circle inside, and a yellow check mark. Register for a personal monthly or yearly plan and after signing up for online instruction, these plans will allow you to connect to me as your coach.
